What you will do

• Drive end-to-end mechanical design of components and systems from early concept through mass production.
• Rapidly prototype and test designs, employing a fail-fast and iterative approach.
• Perform DFMEA, tolerance stack-ups, materials selection, and thermal/structural/fluid analysis.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with ID, EE, software, and quality teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Coordinate with overseas manufacturing partners regarding feasibility, cost, and repeatability at scale.
• Lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers to improve team technical practices.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5–7+ years of experience designing mechanical systems for consumer products or electromechanical devices.
• Deep knowledge of materials, plastics design, and DFM/DFA for high-volume manufacturing.
• Proficiency in CAD software, specifically Creo or SolidWorks.
• Experience working directly with overseas suppliers and manufacturing partners.
• Must be based in Needham, MA, United States.
