What you will do
- Build and maintain ELT data pipelines from source systems into Snowflake.
- Configure Fivetran data ingestion and develop dbt models, tests, macros, and documentation.
- Design staging, intermediate, mart, and semantic data layers.
- Define and implement data contracts and automated data quality validation.
- Utilize AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) to accelerate engineering productivity and validate generated code.
- Contribute reusable templates and engineering standards for the data platform.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt Cloud (including CI/CD).
- Advanced SQL and data modeling skills.
- Experience with Fivetran or similar ELT/ingestion tools (Airbyte, Stitch, Matillion).
- Proficiency with Git-based development workflows and CI/CD concepts.
- Practical experience using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) within the SDLC.
Nice to have
- Experience with Claude Code and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Knowledge of dbt Semantic Layer and Data Contracts.
- Experience with Data Observability and Quality Frameworks (e.g., Great Expectations, Soda).
- Python for automation and API integrations.
- Experience with Agentic AI workflows.
