Salary: $88,000 – $124,000 per year

What you will do

• Clone and express recombinant proteins across various expression systems.
• Purify tagged or native proteins using FPLC systems and column chromatography.
• Produce high-quality protein crystal and co-crystal structures from screening through refinement.
• Independently initiate and complete routine protein construct design and production.
• Interpret experimental outcomes and propose follow-up studies to solve scientific problems.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment, including AKTA pure systems.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Structural Biology, or a related life science field.
• Expertise in recombinant protein purification using affinity, ion exchange, and size exclusion chromatography.
• Significant experience with cloning and expressing proteins in mammalian, insect, bacterial, or yeast systems.
• Experience with protein characterization using mass spectrometry, light scattering, and Western blot.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Cambridge, MA.

Nice to have

• Experience in protein crystallography, crystallographic data processing, and structural analysis.
• Experience with biophysical characterization (ITC, DSC, SPR, NMR).
