Salary: $123,000–$164,000

What you will do

• Conceive and execute innovative in vitro and in vivo studies to investigate mechanisms of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
• Identify and validate novel drug targets, biomarkers, and immune pathways.
• Develop and implement complex immunological assays using primary human or murine cells.
• Analyze and interpret complex datasets to support lead optimization and translational research.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, and clinical development teams.
• Contribute to program strategy and evaluate external scientific opportunities.

Requirements

• PhD preferred (or MS/BS with significant relevant industry experience).
• 2+ years of relevant industry experience in biotech/pharma drug discovery or translational research.
• Strong expertise in immune cell biology, cell signaling, and cytokine biology.
• Hands-on experience with assay development, flow cytometry, ELISA, and protein analysis platforms.
• Experience with in vivo and ex vivo disease models of inflammation or autoimmunity.
• Must be within commutable distance or able to self-relocate to South San Francisco, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience with small molecules, biologics, or cell-based therapeutics.
• Technical expertise in multiparametric flow cytometry (15+ colors).
• Experience with multiomics analyses and translational biomarker strategy.
• Familiarity with PK/PD relationships and preclinical-to-clinical bridge-building.
