TL;DR
Electrical Design Engineer (Electric Power): Designing and developing low and medium voltage switchgear for generator paralleling applications with an accent on industry regulations and NEC/UL requirements. Focus on creating detailed bills of materials, directing CAD design, and validating PLC code for generator control systems.
Location: On-site in Alpharetta, Georgia, USA (5 days a week)
Salary: $97,530.00 - $146,290.00

What you will do
- Design and develop low and medium voltage switchgear for generator paralleling applications.
- Interpret customer specifications and apply industry regulations including NEC, UL 508, UL 891, and ANSI.
- Create detailed bills of materials within the ERP system.
- Provide technical direction to CAD designers for wiring and assembly drawings.
- Support production teams during the equipment manufacturing process.
- Write and validate PLC code for generator control systems and various communication protocols.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering.
- Must be based in or able to work onsite in Alpharetta, Georgia.
- Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Extensive experience in analytical thinking and root cause analysis.
- Strong knowledge of product design for manufacturing and development from concept to production.
Nice to have
- Electrical engineering degree.
- PLC experience with Schneider and/or Allen Bradley.
- Experience with UL508A control enclosure design.
- Knowledge of Power Engineering and Multi-Function Relay Programming/Operation.
