What you will do

• Configure PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial devices to provide operational data to manufacturing systems.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to enable secure connectivity between shop-floor equipment, IIoT platforms, and cloud analytics.
• Implement industrial communication protocols including OPC-UA, MQTT, Ethernet/IP, and Modbus.
• Validate manufacturing data quality and production event data used for dashboards and reporting.
• Support Smart Factory and Industry 4.0 initiatives through connected manufacturing technologies and edge devices.
• Partner with Operations and IT to improve equipment performance, data visibility, and OEE.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electromechanical, or Controls Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in controls engineering and industrial automation.
• Proficiency in programming PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider Electric, or Mitsubishi.
• Experience developing HMI and SCADA systems (e.g., FactoryTalk View, Ignition, WinCC, Wonderware).
• Strong knowledge of industrial networking and protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP, OPC UA).
• Ability to interpret and develop electrical schematics, control panel drawings, and P&IDs.

Nice to have

• Experience utilizing AI tools to improve engineering productivity and process optimization.
• Understanding of IIoT concepts and connected manufacturing architectures.
• Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ERP systems, or SQL databases.
• Experience supporting manufacturing dashboards and KPI reporting.
