What you will do

• Lead the Controls & Automation Engineering function across the full project lifecycle for distributed power generation.
• Develop and maintain company standards for controls architecture, SCADA, and communication systems.
• Oversee the integration of PLC-based systems, HMI, Energy Management Systems (EMS), and generator controls.
• Manage commissioning activities, including PLC programming validation and functional testing.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause investigations for operating assets to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Implement industrial cybersecurity standards and manage secure remote access solutions for field assets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial automation within power generation or heavy industrial facilities.
• Expertise in synchronization, generator controls, load sharing, and utility interconnection.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently (overnight/out of town).
• Thorough knowledge of IEC, IEEE, ISA, and NFPA standards.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with Emerson, Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Schneider Electric, GE, or Caterpillar control platforms.
• Experience supporting mission-critical facilities such as data centers.
• Familiarity with Energy Management Systems (EMS) and remote operations centers.
