Full Stack Technical Lead (iGaming)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work is available after the first three months, with up to 50 work-from-home days per year

What you will do

• Develop front-end and back-end components using React and Java.
• Own technical architecture and the full software development lifecycle for a high-throughput, event-driven platform.
• Establish standards for clean code, testing, CI/CD, observability, security, performance, and release management.
• Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, conduct performance reviews, and initially line-manage two Full Stack Engineers.
• Translate business requirements into scalable solutions for campaign automation, player segmentation, real-time triggers, and personalised engagement flows.
• Recruit and grow the engineering team while balancing delivery needs with long-term architecture and technical risk management.

Requirements

• Strong Full Stack Engineering experience with architectural responsibility and experience leading or mentoring engineers.
• React, Java, preferably Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, event-driven and microservices architecture.
• Experience with relational and analytical databases such as PostgreSQL and ClickHouse or similar systems.
• CI/CD, Docker, preferably Kubernetes, Git, secure coding, design patterns, and performance optimisation.
• Strong people management, communication, recruitment, team-building, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Strong English communication skills required.
