Principle Software Engineer (Java/React)

hirify.global operates Ticketmaster, a global ticket marketplace and provider of enterprise tools for the live entertainment industry.

What you will do

• Lead the technical design and delivery of scalable, maintainable components across the TM1 Maps platform.
• Shape application architecture with a focus on reliability, simplicity, observability, and long-term maintainability.
• Build and improve micro-frontends and backend services using React, TypeScript, Java, and Spring Boot.
• Design and support shared services, APIs, distributed applications, and integrations for internal and external teams.
• Operate services on AWS and Kubernetes and improve testing, CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, performance, and recovery automation.
• Mentor engineers, influence architecture decisions across teams, and troubleshoot complex production issues as part of the on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience building and operating production software systems.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot development skills, plus frontend experience with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience with NodeJS, Express, APIs, shared services, distributed applications, microservices, or event-driven architecture.
• Experience modernizing legacy systems and applying software design patterns, SOLID principles, monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and performance improvement.
• Experience with CI/CD and delivery tools such as Maven or GitLab CI, and working knowledge of databases such as DynamoDB, Oracle, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience in Agile and DevOps teams, including production support and influencing technical direction across teams without direct management authority.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Elasticsearch or Kafka.
• Experience operating services on AWS or deploying applications on Kubernetes.
• Experience supporting teams that integrate with shared platforms or services.
