Business Data Partner

Location: Hybrid in Gilching or Berlin, Germany; mobile work is available for one flexible day per week.

What you will do

• Act as the primary interface between business departments and the Data Platform team.
• Translate business challenges and requirements into scalable data products, strategic dashboards, and reporting solutions.
• Define and govern company-wide KPIs, business terminology, reporting standards, and semantic models.
• Lead business validation and coordinate User Acceptance Testing for dashboards, KPIs, and data products.
• Investigate reporting discrepancies and support continuous data-quality improvement.
• Coach users in Power BI and self-service analytics through workshops, office hours, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Requirements

• Degree or apprenticeship in Business Administration, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, or a comparable field.
• At least 3 years of experience in business analysis, business intelligence, process improvement, or analytics consulting.
• Experience defining KPIs, validating business logic, and coordinating cross-functional projects.
• Experience with Power BI or similar analytics platforms.
• Fully comfortable communicating in English and German.
• Structured, proactive ownership and strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of SQL, data modeling, semantic models, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Curiosity about technology and experience helping organizations become more data-driven.
