Legal, Vice President, Seoul (Securities Law)

What you will do

• Provide legal advice and support for the Korea franchise, including inbound and outbound transactions and business development.
• Advise bankers, traders, and sales teams on legal, regulatory, and operational matters.
• Handle legal and regulatory queries, review commercial contracts, and advise on securities and capital markets matters.
• Monitor Korean regulatory developments and support local compliance and risk management implementation.
• Manage disputes, litigation, and regulatory investigations with regional and global legal teams.
• Oversee corporate governance processes, including board and committee-related legal and operational matters.

Requirements

• Qualified to practice law in Korea or a major foreign jurisdiction.
• At least 6 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience at a top-tier law firm or as in-house counsel at a reputable global financial institution.
• Strong grounding in securities law and regulation, with knowledge of regulatory developments affecting Korean capital markets.
• Strong legal analysis, independent research, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Complete professional fluency in Korean and English, both written and spoken.
