TL;DR

Junior Accountant (AU): Managing day-to-day financial transactions and maintaining accurate accounting records with an accent on Australian bookkeeping practices and taxation requirements. Focus on performing reconciliations, processing journals, and ensuring compliance within cloud-based accounting systems.

Location: Must be based in or able to work from Ortigas, Alabang, Pampanga, or Cebu, Philippines (Hybrid/Onsite/Remote options available).

What you will do

  • Process daily financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
  • Maintain and update bookkeeping records using Xero and QuickBooks.
  • Prepare journals, accruals, and adjustments in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Support payroll processing and monitor outstanding receivables and payables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Essential proficiency in Xero accounting software.
  • Working knowledge of Australian bookkeeping and tax requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM PH Time.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks.
  • Experience with Karbon or other practice management software.
