People Business Partner (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States. Hybrid schedule with office attendance required on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Base salary: $220,000–$275,000 per year for roles based in San Francisco, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with senior leaders, especially across Engineering, Product, and Design, and connect stakeholders with the People Team.
• Develop and execute people strategies covering talent planning, organizational design, retention, and change management.
• Use people data and systems thinking to identify organizational friction, uncover retention risks, and improve operating rhythms.
• Support the 360 performance review process, including manager calibrations, training sessions, compensation planning, and office hours.
• Coach managers on change leadership, performance management, employee engagement, feedback, and communication.
• Create development plans and strengthen manager training to improve team performance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years supporting Engineering and/or Product organizations.
• Deep knowledge of talent management, organizational design, employee relations, and performance management.
• Experience building relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Analytical, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly, remain calm and tactful, and work effectively with asynchronous and global teams.
• Understanding of state and federal labor relations laws; curiosity about using AI tools is expected.
