What you will do

• Build and validate precision opto-mechanical assemblies following strict procedures.
• Use standardized tools and electric equipment to perform mechanical assembly.
• Execute in-process quality inspections and document results in company databases.
• Interface with engineers to support special builds and experiments.
• Operate precision cleaning machinery and prepare assemblies for shipment.
• Recommend procedural improvements and identify discrepant materials.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under US Export Administration Regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOM).
• Proficiency with manual, electric, and pneumatic tools.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• General computer skills and ability to document data accurately.
• Ability to work a shift from 2:00pm-10:30pm, including potential overtime and weekends.

Nice to have

• Experience with electro-optical or opto-mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of environmental testing.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.
