Senior Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist

Location: Onsite in Sunnyvale, California, United States. Travel required up to 5%, including occasional overnight stays.

Salary: $83,000–$100,000 per year, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Lead the EHS function for a combined manufacturing, laboratory, warehouse, and R&D site.
• Implement EHS management system activities, including program evaluations, compliance audits, corrective action plans, and employee training.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety observations, incident investigations, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Manage environmental permits, regulatory reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Track EHS performance indicators, trends, and emerging regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least three years of experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or other regulated operations.
• Working knowledge of Cal/OSHA, EPA, RCRA, and related regulatory requirements.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action management.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to engage employees and leaders while managing multiple priorities.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Nice to have

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) credentials.
• HAZWOPER first responder operations-level experience.
• Experience with the hirify.global Business System or equivalent continuous improvement methodologies.
