What you will do

• Perform functional, electrical, and performance testing of motion control systems and machine assemblies.
• Configure and test servo motors, drives, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, and motion controllers.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues using schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Verify multi-axis motion system operation, including positioning accuracy, speed, and torque.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power analyzers.
• Document test procedures and collaborate with engineering teams to implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the US (no sponsorship provided).
• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent trade school program.
• 2+ years of experience testing industrial electrical equipment or motion control systems.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, panel layouts, and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with servo systems, PLC-controlled machinery, or industrial automation.
• Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, motors, and industrial communication protocols.

Nice to have

• Experience with motion control platforms like ACS, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, or Omron.
• Familiarity with industrial protocols such as EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, or Profinet.
• Knowledge of servo tuning, hirify.globalD control, and closed-loop motion systems.
