Salary: €65,000 – €82,500

The Exploration Company is developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle designed for cargo transport and future human spaceflight.

What you will do

• Contribute to V&V and IV&V activities to ensure flight software meets functional, performance, and safety requirements.
• Manage and trace requirements from system-level to software implementation and test artifacts.
• Prepare and review documentation for software certification and safety reviews.
• Interpret and apply formal aerospace standards.
• Collaborate with system engineers and software development teams to resolve technical issues.
• Plan software testing for integrated missions.

Requirements

• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Munich, Germany.
• Experience working on safety-critical or highly regulated software systems, preferably in aerospace.
• Strong technical background in software engineering with practical experience in flight software frameworks and modern C++.
• Solid understanding of requirements management, V&V, test, and certification processes.
• Experience with real-time systems, embedded development, or spacecraft software.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python for design and test discussions.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with standards such as SSP 50808, NASA-NPR-7150.2, or ECSS-Q-ST-80C.
• Prior work on human-rated spaceflight programs.
• Experience with model-based system engineering.
• Experience with CI/CD and build systems.
