What you will do

• Develop robust embedded control software for highly precise next-generation lithography systems.
• Implement C software for bare-metal controllers and contribute to embedded Linux components where required.
• Translate technical requirements, runtime behavior, and edge cases into sustainable software and architecture decisions.
• Define and improve software architecture and contribute to verification decisions.
• Create and enhance software verification and validation infrastructure, including Python-based test automation.
• Analyze technical requirements in close collaboration with an agile, specialized interdisciplinary development team.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, computer science, control systems, mathematics, physics, or a comparable discipline.
• Strong recent professional experience developing C software for bare-metal systems.
• Knowledge of low-level embedded software, memory management, hardware-related programming, embedded Linux, and real-time environments.
• Initial experience with software architecture and requirements-based software design.
• Very good English skills required; German is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills, structured working style, and clear communication in interdisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Python experience for test automation.
• FPGA or VHDL knowledge.
