Senior SW Engineer – Embedded Linux SDK & Distribution (M/W/D)

Company

Develops the EyeQ computer vision SoC platform and its operating system software for high-performance automotive environments.

What you will do

• Architect and develop Linux userspace and service bring-up for embedded distributions.
• Integrate SDK components, including drivers, libraries, runtimes, and filesystem components, into custom OS images.
• Own distribution composition covering packages, sysroots, image features, and versioned platform components.
• Build Python-based tooling for reproducible image delivery, target flashing, deployment, and environment setup.
• Debug boot, init, library, ABI, dependency, SDK, and runtime issues on target systems.
• Collaborate on board bring-up and adapt the distribution to new SoC generations and hardware.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Embedded Linux development, particularly systems software, userspace, or distribution work.
• Strong C and C++ skills with knowledge of POSIX APIs, libraries, and userspace-kernel interaction.
• Deep understanding of Linux internals, bootloaders, kernel hand-off, init systems, and root filesystem layout.
• Hands-on experience with embedded Linux distributions such as Yocto, Buildroot, or Linux From Scratch.
• Experience integrating vendor SDKs or BSP stacks and using GDB, Valgrind, strace, perf, and Python for infrastructure tooling.

Nice to have

• Automotive software background.
• Experience with GPU or accelerator compute stacks, inference libraries, and cross-sysroot workflows.
• Familiarity with hardware schematics, interfaces, and signal reasoning.
