Embedded Software Engineer FCS & FMS (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and test safety-critical real-time software in an agile multidisciplinary team.
• Develop embedded applications and low-level platform software for flight control computers.
• Design and document software architecture, review software, and support software increment planning.
• Analyze stakeholder and upper-level requirements and translate them into actionable, compliant requirements.
• Allocate requirements to system elements, manage changes with impact analysis, and verify complete implementation.
• Contribute to design definition and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Good knowledge of embedded systems software development and/or low-level platform software.
• Knowledge of processors and processor architectures for safety-critical computing, plus hardware/software interface definition experience.
• Experience with programming standards, model-based system design, SCADE, automated code generation, and requirements engineering.
• Hands-on experience with safety-critical standards including ED-12C/DO-178C, ED-218/DO-331, or ED-80/DO-254; excellent written and verbal English required.

Nice to have

• Experience with ARINC 653-based real-time operating systems and IMA under ED-124/DO-297.
• German language skills.
