Staff Software Engineer (AI)

Salary: USD $124,000–$329,200 per year

What you will do

• Design, prototype, implement, ship, and support performant user experiences for hirify.global Issues and Projects.
• Develop Copilot integrations for existing and future project planning and tracking features.
• Write, review, and maintain code primarily with JavaScript, React, TypeScript, Ruby, and Rails.
• Create architecture briefs, technical proposals, experiments, and prototypes for planetary-scale systems.
• Partner with engineering and product leadership to define technical investments, roadmaps, and priorities.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, pairing, and code reviews across the engineering team.

Requirements

• 9+ years of software engineering or related technical experience, or equivalent experience through the listed education and experience pathways.
• 5+ years of senior-level React experience.
• Experience maintaining and delivering production software in one or more programming languages.
• Ability to work across the stack with a strong frontend focus.
• Strong customer focus, analytical ability, communication skills, and a data-driven approach.
• Must be eligible to work remotely from the United States.

Nice to have

• 1+ years of experience working remotely as part of a distributed software engineering team.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with modern web stacks such as Rails, Go, React, MySQL, or GraphQL.
• Experience shipping customer-facing AI-powered tools.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.
