Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote in Canada

Base salary: CA$148,000–CA$185,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain customer-facing features across acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and monetization.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data, Marketing, and Customer Success to identify growth opportunities and improve customer outcomes.
• Design, implement, and analyze experiments using feature flags, A/B testing, and analytics.
• Build reliable instrumentation and event pipelines for understanding customer behavior and supporting product decisions.
• Improve the performance, reliability, accessibility, and scalability of critical user journeys.
• Contribute to technical strategy, architecture, roadmap planning, engineering practices, and mentorship.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience building and operating production software.
• Strong experience with modern web applications and technologies such as TypeScript, React, Node.js, and MongoDB or similar systems.
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol and the broader AI tooling ecosystem, including AI-assisted development workflows.
• Experience building customer-facing products with Product and Design partners and using analytics to guide decisions.
• Strong fundamentals in system design, testing, observability, operational excellence, and scalable architecture.
• Experience with product experimentation and business metrics such as activation, engagement, retention, conversion, and monetization.
