Mechanical Engineer

Location: On-site in Oakland, California, USA. Travel: up to 40%, mainly to local client sites.

Salary: $85,000–$105,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Develop HVAC and mechanical system designs based on project scopes and client requests.
• Perform engineering design, evaluations, planning, load and energy calculations, and equipment selection.
• Survey existing buildings and document HVAC systems.
• Prepare design documents, reports, studies, project specifications, and code compliance research.
• Collaborate with other design disciplines to coordinate projects and provide construction administration services.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of design work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of Mechanical Engineering experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit, Autodesk tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate across disciplines, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to travel up to 40% to primarily local client sites.
• Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training registration is preferred.
