What you will do

• Lead discovery sessions with client subject matter experts to define business context, pain points, and success criteria.
• Translate complex use cases into clear, testable requirements and design specifications for downstream development teams.
• Perform hands-on data analysis using SQL to prototype, test assumptions, and validate design choices.
• Apply systems thinking to ensure design patterns are reusable across different clients, states, and use cases.
• Act as the primary client-facing anchor, ensuring clear communication between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
• Manage dependencies across multi-workstream engagements to prevent rework and ensure architectural consistency.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US
• 3+ years of experience in the US healthcare domain working with claims, provider, or eligibility data.
• Direct experience working with or for a US health plan (Medicare, Medicaid, or Commercial).
• Proficiency in writing and executing SQL for data exploration and prototyping.
• Strong ability to elicit and author business requirements in complex, data-driven environments.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with HEDIS, Stars quality reporting, risk adjustment, or CMS interoperability standards.
• Working knowledge of data modeling concepts and dataset grain structures.
• Experience with Databricks or Snowflake platforms.
• Background in Medicaid data or PBM platforms.
