Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Arlington, VA or New York, NY (Hybrid, 3 days in office)

Salary: $160,000 – $210,000

What you will do

• Build and ship full-stack features across the React web portal and Spring Boot backend services.
• Develop and maintain versioned RESTful APIs for sensor data, vessel telemetry, and AI detection outputs.
• Deploy and maintain microservices on AWS within containerized Kubernetes environments.
• Write and optimize PostGIS queries to support bulk artifact retrieval and map rendering.
• Collaborate with the design team to implement pixel-precise UI components for data-dense map views.
• Build internal admin and fleet management tools for operations teams.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
• Strong command of React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Solid backend experience in Spring Boot and designing robust REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with PostGIS or relational databases.
• Working knowledge of AWS services and deploying applications in Kubernetes.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity (3 days in office) in Arlington, VA or New York, NY.

Nice to have

• Experience with geospatial data and mapping libraries like Mapbox, Leaflet, or Deck.gl.
• Familiarity with WebSockets or SSE for real-time UI updates.
• Background in defense, maritime, or government software.
• Experience integrating ML model outputs into user-facing features.
