Salary: £43,680–£48,003 per annum

What you will do

  • Act as the primary point of contact for external event organisers, guiding them through booking and application processes.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including equipment procurement, supplier management, and on-site arrangements.
  • Support the delivery of Council-led civic and ceremonial events, ensuring all protocol requirements are met.
  • Manage financial tracking, compliance documentation, and post-event evaluations for all assigned projects.
  • Liaise with internal teams and partners to progress event applications through necessary approval stages.
  • Conduct site visits to assess suitability and showcase available public spaces for events.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in event coordination, logistics, or administration within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders, including senior leaders and dignitaries.
  • High attention to detail regarding documentation, compliance, and financial record-keeping.
  • Proactive, solution-focused approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by the event schedule.
