TL;DR

Senior Director, Customer Marketing, Customer Advocacy, & Community (Cybersecurity): Building and running a full 360° customer marketing program including advocacy, community, and lifecycle marketing with an accent on driving net revenue retention, expansion, and pipeline. Focus on establishing a Customer Advisory Board, launching a branded customer community, and designing data-driven lifecycle campaigns for the Fortune 1000.

Location: Remote (US)

Compensation: $275,000–$325,000

What you will do

  • Build a scalable advocacy engine to recruit and manage customer champions for case studies, testimonials, and speaking opportunities.
  • Launch and grow a branded customer community to facilitate peer-to-peer exchange and route product feedback to the roadmap.
  • Design and operate always-on lifecycle campaigns across onboarding, adoption, expansion, and renewal.
  • Establish and manage the Customer Advisory Board (CAB) and a dedicated CXO community (CISO, CIO, CDO, CAIO).
  • Plan and deliver high-impact customer experiences, such as user groups and regional customer days.
  • Hire and coach a high-performing customer marketing team and align initiatives with company-wide priorities.

Requirements

  • 10-15+ years of B2B marketing experience, with 10+ years specifically leading customer marketing, advocacy, or community programs.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling advocacy and community programs from the ground up in high-growth SaaS or cybersecurity.
  • Experience operating executive programs (e.g., CAB) and direct engagement with senior buyers like CISOs and CIOs.
  • People leadership experience with a history of hiring, coaching, and growing professional teams.
  • Strong cross-functional influence with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams.
  • Must be based in the United States.

  • Security industry experience and familiarity with technical, security-minded buyers.
