Systems Engineer (Space & Defense)

Systems Engineer (Space & Defense): Designing and developing hydraulic, electro-mechanical, and servo-mechanism test systems for military and space vehicles with an accent on systems architecture and requirements validation. Focus on building complex test equipment, performing hardware correlation, and utilizing MATLAB/Simulink for system modeling.

Location: Onsite in Buffalo/East Aurora, NY. Remote candidates will not be considered.

Salary: $85,000–$105,000 Annually

What you will do

• Design and develop hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, and electro-mechanical components and systems for product testing.
• Lead the design process and provide technical leadership for specialized test equipment and systems architecture.
• Develop system-level requirements and lead the verification of test equipment.
• Use MATLAB/Simulink to construct system models to predict performance and manage margins.
• Perform hardware correlation, system integration, and verification testing.
• Coordinate and support the assembly of test equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering with 3+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
• Ability to work onsite in East Aurora, NY.
• Strong analytical skills and technical communication abilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with DOORS.
• Master’s degree.
