What you will do

• Lead and sustain systems engineering activities across complex space and ground development programs.
• Define mission concepts and develop Concepts of Operations (ConOps), operational scenarios, and use cases.
• Manage system requirements, including elicitation, decomposition, allocation, and traceability.
• Develop high-level system architecture across hardware, software, and operational domains.
• Ensure technical consistency from concept through verification and operational deployment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate mission objectives into implementable designs.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering, or Physics.
• Minimum 6 years of professional systems engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or robotics.
• Demonstrated experience in developing system architecture and managing requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
• Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML.
• Strong understanding of the full systems engineering lifecycle (V-model).

Nice to have

• 10+ years of experience with spacecraft or satellite constellations.
• Experience with MBSE tools like Cameo, MagicDraw, or Enterprise Architect.
• Familiarity with Ansys STK or requirements tools like IBM DOORS Next and Jama Connect.
• Knowledge of inter-satellite communications (optical crosslink, RF).
• Experience with formal reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR).
