Engineer, Energy and Drives

Location: Hyvinkää, Finland; international travel, including to the USA and China, is required several times annually.

What you will do

• Take engineering responsibility for inverter-controlled electrical drive systems.
• Develop engineering solutions for battery energy storage and battery charging systems.
• Support delivery projects and development projects for RTG and other port cranes.
• Communicate technically with existing and new suppliers.
• Support project teams and business lines with technical guidance.
• Participate in testing at hirify.global and customer sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, preferably with a focus on power electronics.
• At least approximately three years of experience with inverter-controlled drives.
• Good knowledge of inverter-controlled electrical drives and basic knowledge of battery systems.
• Fluent written and spoken English required.
• Ability to travel internationally, including to the USA and China, several times annually.

Nice to have

• Experience with industrial battery energy storage and charging systems.
• Experience with port cranes and their components.
• Finnish language skills.
