What you will do

• Act as the primary technical authority for controls, SCADA, and industrial networking throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Design and deploy hirify.global OS (FOS) controls, including EMS, PLCs, HMIs, and other ICS/OT components.
• Develop controls architecture and integration strategies for BESS functionality and plant controllers.
• Manage controls specifications, points lists, and OPC mappings for remote monitoring and data integration.
• Define and execute FAT and SAT strategies to reduce commissioning risk and duration.
• Coordinate with external engineering firms and cross-functional internal teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience designing and supporting Controls, Communications, and SCADA systems in power utility or related industries (BESS, PV).
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Computer Engineering, or similar.
• Proficiency in PLC and HMI development, programming, and commissioning.
• Expertise in industrial protocols: IEC 60870-5-101/103/104, IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, OPC UA, and MQTT.
• Strong understanding of industrial networking (TCP/IP, Cisco) and OT cybersecurity principles.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Ignition SCADA / IIoT platform.
• Familiarity with virtualization and containerization (VMware, Proxmox, Docker).
• Basic Linux system administration knowledge.
• Ability to travel up to 30% for project execution and commissioning.
