What you will do

• Lead the graphical evolution of new products from initial layout to final production drawings.
• Produce complex 3D/Solid models independently using CAD systems for visualization and clearance checks.
• Collaborate with functional disciplines to define design, drawing, and fabrication requirements.
• Organize drafting plans, check detail drawings for accuracy, and manage project schedules.
• Support bid and proposal efforts by providing necessary layouts and technical data packages.
• Mentor, train, and provide performance feedback to junior and mid-level drafters.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Mechanical Technology or a relevant major.
• 3+ years of drafting/design leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency with mechanical CAD tools, with Siemens NX and Teamcenter PLM preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of machine shop practices, geometric tolerancing, and descriptive geometry.
• Understanding of mechanical hardware design for kinematic mechanisms and packaging.
• Must be able to access U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of leadership experience as a technical authority in drafting.
• Expert knowledge of aerospace standards including ASME Y14.5, ASME Y14 series, and MIL-STD.
• Experience in configuration-controlled environments with ECO/ECR processes.
• Advanced understanding of DFM/DFA and precision mechanical design for aerospace.
