TL;DR

What you will do

  • Design and analyze aerodynamic layouts for fixed-wing, multicopter, and eVTOL configurations using tools like XFoil, OpenVSP, and CFD.
  • Support flight and wind tunnel test campaigns to validate simulations with real-world data.
  • Develop Python-based tooling and automation to streamline analysis and data processing pipelines.
  • Generate and maintain aerodynamic databases and stability derivatives for autopilot tuning and control law development.
  • Collaborate closely with Mechanical and GNC teams to ensure aerodynamic choices remain feasible and stable.

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of aerodynamic fundamentals (lift, drag, stability) and flight dynamics.
  • Proficiency in Python (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas) for data processing and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with aerodynamic simulation (CFD, XFoil, OpenVSP, AVL) or experimental testing.
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or CATIA.
  • Must be based in or able to work on-site in Paris.

Nice to have

  • French language skills.
  • Hands-on experience building or flying RC aircraft and drones.
  • Expertise in propeller design and airframe integration.
  • Knowledge of aeroacoustics.
