What you will do

• Perform detailed thermal analyses of spacecraft thrusters during steady-state and transient phases.
• Assess and justify transient heat soak back effects following thruster shutdown.
• Develop and correlate thermal mathematical models using Thermal Desktop and SINDA/FLUINT.
• Support thermal test campaigns at both component and system levels.
• Propose design decisions to mitigate adverse thermal interactions.
• Produce technical reports to support design reviews such as CDR and QR.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience with propulsion system thermal justification.
• Strong understanding of heat transfer, transient thermal behavior, and high-temperature material behavior.
• Proficiency with thermal analysis tools like Thermal Desktop and SINDA/FLUINT.
• Programming or scripting skills in Python or MATLAB for automation.
• Familiarity with ECSS or NASA thermal standards and the spacecraft development lifecycle.
