Salary: $80,000 - $140,000 per year

What you will do

• Investigate suspicious applications to detect synthetic identities and third-party identity theft during onboarding.
• Conduct deep-dive investigations into organized fraud rings and high-stakes criminal activity.
• Manage end-to-end KYC documentation and prepare case files for SAR consideration by the 2LoD team.
• Perform initial screening and clearing of Sanctions and PEP alerts.
• Handle CFPB and Credit Reporting Agency disputes related to fraud claims.
• Communicate directly with US consumers to verify identity and legitimacy of high-risk applications.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in fraud investigations within US fintech, personal loans, or credit cards, or equivalent experience in US Law Enforcement.
• Experience with identity verification tools such as Alloy or Socure.
• Ability to conduct thorough investigations of identity reports and fraud patterns.
• Proficiency in documenting complex investigations for leadership, regulators, and bank partners.
• Knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) regarding fraud disputes and consumer protection.
• Must be based in the USA to handle US consumers and regulatory requirements.
