Salary: $116,250 – $155,000

What you will do

• Design and lead the development of end-to-end fraud prevention strategies, including procedures, rules, and controls.
• Conduct sophisticated data analysis on large datasets to identify emerging fraud trends, patterns, and potential risks.
• Continuously monitor system performance and implement data-driven enhancements to improve accuracy and reduce false positives.
• Partner with data science, product, engineering, and compliance teams to integrate fraud prevention into products.
• Oversee initiatives to advance fraud detection systems and optimize operational processes.
• Develop and deliver actionable reports and insights for leadership regarding fraud risk exposure.

Requirements

• 5+ years in fraud strategy, program management, or related risk management roles.
• Expert proficiency in SQL, Python, and Looker for data analysis and visualization.
• Hands-on experience with fraud detection and monitoring platforms.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments.
• Strong critical-thinking and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Location: Must be based in New York and able to work onsite twice a week.

Nice to have

• Expertise in mitigating account takeover, synthetic identity, distributed attacks, and payment fraud.
• In-depth knowledge of ACH risks, reversal flows, and related vulnerabilities.
• Experience in fintech or high-growth technology-driven industries.
• Understanding of scam, phishing, and social engineering threats.
• Familiarity with digital asset exchanges or financial markets.
