TL;DR

What you will do

• Design end-to-end data architectures, including diagrams, documentation, and decision records.
• Implement designed systems from initial sketches through to production.
• Collaborate with client teams to understand data landscapes, constraints, and business goals.
• Integrate data platforms into broader applications alongside AI, software, and frontend engineers.
• Introduce best practices in data modeling, pipelines, observability, and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead implementations end-to-end.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science.
• 8+ years of professional experience in data architecture and engineering.
• Strong expertise in Snowflake, AWS, and S3.
• Proven track record of leading architecture decisions on large, complex systems.
• Must be physically based in Ireland with full working permissions.
• Ability to survey complex data estates and create future-state roadmaps.

Nice to have

• Experience with traditional self-managed or hybrid data platforms (e.g., Cloudera).
