Data Architect (AWS)

Location: Bulgaria, Romania, or Poland; remote or office work available.

What you will do

• Design and support scalable data platforms, data pipelines, and AWS-based data solutions.
• Develop and maintain batch and streaming data processing architectures.
• Gather stakeholder requirements and translate them into technical solutions and implementation plans.
• Support data ingestion, source-to-target mappings, and integration of new data sources.
• Manage workflows with Apache Airflow or MWAA and implement real-time processing with Kafka, Amazon MSK, or Kinesis.
• Contribute across the full project lifecycle from PoC and MVP stages through production, including documentation, prototypes, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing scalable data platforms and data pipeline architectures.
• Hands-on experience with batch and streaming data processing solutions.
• Strong expertise in AWS services for data engineering and analytics workloads.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java, preferably Python, together with strong SQL skills.
• Knowledge of Apache Spark, Databricks, or Flink; Apache Airflow or MWAA; Kafka, Amazon MSK, or Kinesis; and Snowflake or Amazon Redshift.
• Upper-intermediate or higher English proficiency and availability to work from Bulgaria, Romania, or Poland.
