What you will do

• Design scalable conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business applications and analytics.
• Architect and implement production-ready database schemas for complex business domains using PostgreSQL.
• Define data architecture standards, governance principles, naming conventions, and modeling best practices.
• Design event-driven data models and schemas using technologies like Kafka to enable reliable cross-service communication.
• Collaborate with engineering, AI/ML, and analytics teams to support both operational and analytical workloads.
• Develop indexing strategies, partitioning approaches, and query optimization techniques to improve performance at scale.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience designing and implementing production-grade data architectures.
• Expert knowledge of relational database design and extensive experience with PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and microservice architectures.
• Experience with event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka) and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• English: C1 level (Excellent verbal and written communication skills required).

Nice to have

• Experience with infrastructure and cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes or Terraform.
• Experience modeling hierarchical or multi-tenant data structures.
• Experience designing authorization, identity, and access-control data models.
• Familiarity with JSON/JSONB data modeling and schema evolution strategies.
