Correspondent Banking Lead (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid Work in Mexico

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end implementation and scaling of the correspondent model from 0 to 1.
• Manage integrations with correspondent network managers, retailers, and aggregators.
• Execute the regulatory approval process with the CNBV, including the preparation and submission of the Business Strategic Plan (PEN).
• Define and document operational processes, controls, and reconciliation flows.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, including transaction monitoring, incident management, and SLA tracking.
• Collaborate with Product, Tech, Operations, Legal, and Compliance teams to optimize the channel.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in banking, fintech, or payments, specifically focused on banking correspondents.
• Proven experience integrating and operating with correspondent network managers.
• Hands-on experience with CNBV processes and PEN preparation.
• Deep understanding of the Mexican regulatory framework and AML/CFT guidelines.
• Native Spanish and advanced English proficiency.
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, build-from-scratch environments.

Nice to have

• Experience launching new payment rails or financial products.
• Prior interaction with financial regulators or authorization processes.
• Experience working with retailers or non-bank correspondent networks.
