Location: Hybrid (Bolton, UK) — 1 day in the office, 4 days from home

What you will do

• Manage a caseload of Small Claims Track cases, ensuring all Court deadlines are met.
• Analyze evidence to develop initial case strategies regarding liability and quantum.
• Conduct telephone negotiations with clients, defendants, insurers, and solicitors to reach appropriate settlements.
• Draft court documents, witness statements, and professional correspondence.
• Brief and liaise with Counsel and guide defendants through the litigation process.
• Maintain accurate records in case management and billing systems in accordance with ISO 9001 guidelines.

Requirements

• Educational background or established experience in law.
• Practical file handling experience within a law practice or insurance company.
• Solid understanding of the Highway Code and basic Road Traffic Act principles.
• Basic knowledge of Court Practice Rules.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional correspondence.
• Must be based in or near Bolton, UK to support a hybrid work schedule.
