Java Engineer (Fintech)

Location: City of London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with 3 days in the office

What you will do

• Develop and maintain FIX APIs for institutional clients and partners.
• Deliver new functionality for the IG Prime product roadmap.
• Build robust, high-performance trading and market data integrations in the cloud.
• Provide technical support to clients and FIX Support teams.
• Monitor and manage API services for performance, reliability, and resilience.
• Build test harnesses and increase automation across the FIX platform.

Requirements

• Approximately 5 years of Java development experience.
• Experience developing external APIs and using the Spring Framework.
• Strong concurrent and multithreaded programming skills.
• Experience with asynchronous systems, including streaming and messaging.
• Linux proficiency, including shell scripting, and experience with cloud technologies, ideally AWS.
• Ability to identify development risks, build mitigations, and use AI in coding.
