TL;DR

Director, Global Talent Acquisition (Non-Profit): Leading the build of a scalable, proactive global recruiting machinery with an accent on sourcing for an Africa-centered workforce and workforce planning. Focus on building outbound sourcing capabilities, optimizing ATS (Greenhouse) data, and developing structured interview frameworks to scale the organization.

Location: Fully remote. Must overlap with East Africa Time (EAT) by at least 3 hours. Cannot sponsor employment Visas in the U.S. or U.K.

Salary: US ($128,000 - $147,200), UK (£90,100 - £103,615), Kenya ($101,221 - $116,404). Benchmarks provided for other countries during the process.

What you will do

  • Manage and coach a global TA team of managers and recruiters based primarily in East Africa.
  • Build an outbound sourcing engine and global talent networks for Africa, Europe, and North America.
  • Own Greenhouse ATS configuration, AI tooling integration, and the establishment of key recruiting metrics.
  • Standardize the hiring lifecycle and embed structured interview frameworks to reduce bias.
  • Partner with senior leadership and Finance on headcount planning, role criticality, and scenario modeling.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of talent acquisition experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Meaningful experience recruiting across Sub-Saharan Africa and other global markets.
  • Demonstrated success scaling a TA function through hypergrowth or significant organizational change.
  • Strong command of recruiting operations and workforce planning.
  • Ability to travel 3-4 times per year to countries of operation for retreats and oversight.

Nice to have

  • Experience in global non-profits or international development organizations.
  • Familiarity with EOR and contractor recruiting models across multiple countries.
  • Comfort with AI-assisted recruiting tools.
