Electrical Engineer (Early)

Location: On-site in Los Angeles (Hawthorne), California, United States. Occasional travel required.

Salary: $115,000–$135,000 per year.

Develops full-stack robotics and hardware systems for commercial-scale rocket propellant production on the Moon and Mars.

What you will do

• Design, analyze, qualify, and deploy avionics systems across product lines.
• Own electrical subsystems and components from requirements definition through deployment and flight execution.
• Define qualification testing criteria using spaceflight testing standards.
• Validate hardware in simulated launch and lunar-surface environments.
• Coordinate electrical, thermal, and software requirements with adjacent teams to meet integration timelines and system milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience developing electrical systems for space applications.
• Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, and electrical circuit simulation.
• Experience setting up and using multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and data acquisition equipment.
• Strong technical communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Five or more years of experience developing electrical systems for space applications.
• Experience delivering spaceflight hardware across the full product lifecycle.
• Expertise in embedded systems, environmental testing, power systems, rapid board prototyping, or radiation-effects mitigation and testing.
