What you will do

• Design and apply predictive machine learning algorithms for lab-in-the-loop perturbation screens.
• Integrate diverse data modalities including molecular structures, omics data, images, and text.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of biologists, chemists, and data scientists.
• Scale machine learning techniques to massive datasets and support the deployment of novel algorithms.
• Publish research in top-tier machine learning and scientific journals.
• Present results at internal and external scientific conferences and workshops.

Requirements

• PhD degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics) or physical/life sciences.
• Proven track record of developing and applying advanced machine learning models in research or industry.
• Proficiency in scientific programming in Python.
• Extensive experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
• Strong background in statistics and probabilistic modeling.
• Must be based in South San Francisco, CA (Relocation benefits are not available).
