Senior ML Scientist (Medtech)

Location: Must be based in the United States. The role is primarily remote with access to offices in Denver, New York, Dallas, and Lisbon; travel for team meetings is required.

Salary: $186,000 - $212,000 (Base Salary)

What you will do

• Research and develop state-of-the-art machine learning models for coronary CT angiography applications.
• Conduct rigorous analysis and validation of ML algorithms and prototypes.
• Explore novel methods for processing and analyzing large, complex medical imaging datasets.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy ML algorithms into clinical practice.
• Present research findings to internal stakeholders and external academic collaborators.
• Author scientific publications and contribute to patent development.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related field (or M.S. with 5+ years of experience).
• Strong theoretical and practical expertise in image science, applied mathematics, machine learning, and deep learning.
• Research experience in applying ML/DL to medical image processing (segmentation, registration, reconstruction, etc.).
• Proven track record of publications in top-tier medical imaging or computer vision conferences (e.g., MICCAI, CVPR).
• Proficiency in Python with experience handling large datasets and implementing ML pipelines.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of postdoctoral research or industry experience.
• Hands-on experience with foundation models, multimodal ML, or vision transformers.
• Strong domain knowledge in CT imaging and clinical applications.
