What you will do

• Operate and maintain an effective privacy program in compliance with applicable North American laws.
• Investigate and respond to privacy breaches or incidents, managing remediation and regulatory notifications.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) to support business and membership initiatives.
• Provide privacy oversight for cybersecurity incident management and the AI governance program.
• Execute vendor privacy due diligence reviews through the third-party risk management framework.
• Update privacy documentation and represent the organization in various industry committees.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in privacy compliance, ideally within Canadian or US financial institutions.
• Strong understanding of privacy compliance risk management specifically for financial services or life insurance.
• Proven ability to translate complex legal concepts into effective operational solutions.
• Must be based in Toronto for hybrid work.
• Post-secondary degree or equivalent work experience.

Nice to have

• Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
• Professional privacy certifications such as CIPP.
