Senior Security Engineer, Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) - EMEA (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote in Israel or the United Kingdom; the role operates during EMEA business hours within a 24/7 follow-the-sun on-call model.

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate end-to-end response to high-severity security incidents, from detection and triage through containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Investigate complex incidents across cloud environments using Digital Forensics and Incident Response methodologies.
• Design and implement detection capabilities with Signals Engineering, including SIEM use cases, alerting strategies, and telemetry pipelines.
• Build automation and AI-assisted workflows that improve triage, investigation speed, and response consistency.
• Partner with Threat Intelligence and cross-functional stakeholders, including Engineering, Infrastructure, Legal, Product, and Communications.
• Lead root cause analysis, post-incident reviews, tabletop exercises, documentation improvements, and mentoring initiatives.

Requirements

• Strong experience in security incident response and investigations in cloud-first environments.
• Experience using or administering Git or hirify.global in a security or engineering context.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, and/or detection engineering.
• Experience with AWS and GCP, plus familiarity with threat intelligence and adversary tactics such as MITRE ATT&CK.
• Experience with automation, Python, scripting, or SOAR platforms, and interest or experience applying AI/ML or data-driven techniques to security workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to operate during high-severity incidents.
