TL;DR

Software Engineer (Java): Developing high-performance backend services for vehicle domain systems in both on-prem and cloud environments with an accent on microservices architecture and API design. Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to Austin, Texas or Warren, Michigan (Hybrid: 3 days per week in office).

Compensation: $93,800 - $142,350

What you will do

• Design and deliver high-quality backend software in regular increments.
• Develop and maintain microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions across domain services.
• Participate in scrum ceremonies, deployment, and DevOps activities.
• Perform on-call production support, root cause analysis, and incident resolution.
• Follow best practices including automated testing, documentation, and monitoring.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience with Java and object-oriented design patterns.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and TDD techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure), CI/CD, and microservices.
• Proficiency in interface patterns like RESTful APIs or event-based messaging.

Nice to have

• Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
• Proficiency with databases including Oracle, Postgres, or NoSQL (Cassandra, Cosmos).
• Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, ELK stack, or Grafana.
