Location: Must be based in the United States, with a preference for the East Coast or ability to work hybrid in New York, NY or Charlotte, NC. Must be able to work Eastern Standard Time hours.
Salary: $160,000 – $210,000 per year

What you will do
- Lead and mentor a team of 2–4 engineers, managing their performance, growth, and day-to-day delivery.
- Own sprint planning, prioritization, and risk management to ensure reliable software delivery.
- Contribute hands-on to the TypeScript codebase, focusing on complex or load-bearing tasks.
- Partner with Product and Design teams to align on business goals and resolve technical dependencies.
- Champion AI-forward practices to increase team throughput and operational efficiency.
- Ensure high operational quality, including incident response and compliance in a regulated domain.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States and able to work Eastern Standard Time hours.
- Proven experience leading or managing a small engineering team.
- Hands-on technical proficiency with modern TypeScript and full-stack web applications.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS), infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD automation.
- Strong communication skills for managing stakeholders and cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with observability tools and incident-response standards.
